NH Ocean Beaches
There’s More than One Great Beach in New Hampshire
There are 12 beaches, each one unique, along the approximately 17-miles of winding New Hampshire coastline. Sandwiched between Massachusetts and Maine, New Hampshire’s beaches offer easy access, intimacy and beauty.

Bass Beach
Bass Beach is a pebbled cove that’s difficult to access. When the waves are right it’s a haven for surfers. There is limited parking on the side of the road and no facilities. It’s also known as Rye Rocks Point. Just north is Sawyer’s Beach — a small beach that’s owned by the Town of Rye. There is special permit parking for residents only at Sawyers.
Foss Beach
This horseshoe shaped semi-sandy/rocky beach with a rock and dirt seawall. There are no facilities on this town-owned beach, which sits just north of Rye Harbor State Park. There’s parking on the side of the road.

Hampton Beach
The most popular beach in the region, Hampton Beach
has been drawing visitors by the hundreds of thousands since the turn of the
century. The beach is extremely wide and the water warm. Bath house and lifeguards in season. Located
on Route 1A, Hampton.

From fantastic fireworks every week, 17 in all, to 80 free summer concerts, Hampton Beach has something for everyone. Come marvel at the Masters of Sand Sculpting in June, find out who will be Miss Hampton Beach 2012 in July, show off your talent at the annual Hampton Beach Talent competition, or feel like a kid again in August and join us to see off the end of the season with our famous Seafood Festival in September.
Jenness State Beach
This is a fun filled swimming, surfing and sunbathing destination. The guarded beachfront offers a wonderful opportunity for saltwater swimming, beach combing, and picnicking. Beginning weeknds in mid-May and continuing into mid-June, this park is open for picnicking, swimming, and sunbathing. From mid-June through Labor Day, the park is open daily. The park does have a bathhouse.

at one end and a large seaside park, New Castle Common, at the other end. Great
